Tidy Books 1099's Form Questionnaire

It's already time for us to start collecting information for 1099s

Please answer the questions here so we know how you will be preparing your 1099s this year.

In general, if you have paid any vendors more than $600 in 2025, you may need to file 1099s for them. There are several other factors to determine recipients of form-1099. See more information here.

1099 Prep Questionnaire

I understand that 1099 filing is an add-on service for Tidy Books and is not included in my bookkeeping rate. I understand that it is my responsibility to work with Tidy Books to collect all vendor W-9s and any other necessary info, and it will all need to be collected by Jan 10, 2026. Tidy Books may contact vendors on your behalf to complete 1099s. I understand that all my questions and document requests in my client portal must be completed by Jan 15, 2025 so that an accurate 1099 can be filed by the IRS deadline of Jan. 31, 2026

Note: If assistance is needed in self-preparation (such as a generated list of qualified recipients), the base fee will be applied according to the schedule above.

1099 preparation fees:

Respond by 11/15 - $75 base fee + $30 per 1099
Respond by 11/30 - $100 base fee + $30 per 1099
Respond by 12/31 - $150 base fee + $30 per 1099
Respond after 12/31 - additional Rush fee will be applied and we do not guarantee 1099s will be filed by the IRS deadline of 1/31.
